Re: [linrad] Which Linux?

Hi Paul,

This is not to confuse the issue.

I am not sure how far you have looked into the usage of Linrad. ( dual
channel, wide band digitizing or not )

If you go full blown, there is the issue of the digitizing souncard.
The Miniman Delta44 card, See Leif's pages.

I think, it is safe to say that there is in the Linrad community, solid
help available for getting this sound card to work under SuSE 9 and
higher This with the provided versions of ALSA, part of the SuSE
distribution.

If you are looking to get SuSE 9 and above. go "SuSE 9.2" on Google
and you find very reasonable prices for a 5 CD or 2 DVD package from
several sources.

ALSO you might find useful info on:

http://www.nitehawk.com/linrad_dat/

This is where you find references of users running the sound card with
ALSA software.

Regards,

Rein Smit
