Hi Roger,

It seems Linrad has been corrupting memory all the time by freeing
memory that was already free. This may well be the reason for your 
observations when leaving with ESC.

I suggest you skip all experimenting with old versions and check
Linrad00-48. If the problem no longer occurs all is fine. In case
00-48 still has the ESC problem, please go back to the 00-40 vs 00-41 
investigation.
