Re: [linrad] lir00-56.tgz vs lir00-56.tbz

I resolved the problem(s) myself.
Meanwhile Linrad runs OK here.

In Red Hat 8.0 ( 2.4.20-13.8 ) there were just a few minor hurdles :
( ref. : Leif's installation instructions  ) :

1.   " Tar xvf svga143.tar "
     should be :
     " tar xvf svga143.tar ".
( Tar is an unknown command ).

2.   " Tar xvf nasm.tar "
     should be :
     " tar xvf nasm.tar ".
( Tar is an unknown command ).

3.   " Tar xvf lirxxxx.tar " :
     should be :
     " tar xvf lirxxxx.tar ".
( Tar is an unknown command ).

4.   " gunzip lirxxxx.tgz "
       should be :
       " bunzip2 lirxxxx.tbz "
Leif's downloadable is .tbz and not .tgz .
       So, gunzip does not work.
Instead, use bunzip2 ( I found this in /root/user/bin....) and it does work OK.

5.   I found that downloading within Linux of svaglib and linrad ( as well as nasm, if necessary ) offers
the possibility of dragging within the GUI ( one drag and one click ) instead of laborious mounting
     thru FDD.
This saves 19 mounting related commands.

6.   Maybe my two cents under ## 1,2,3,4 are stated by Leif separately, somewhere outside the installation
instruction pages, but I couldn't find these.
Maybe this helps for future newbies in RH 8.0.
